On Friday, June 13, 2008, Henderson implemented a new student and employee identification number system. The new student and employee identification number will be used for class rosters, student ID cards, student directories, and any other use that is not specifically authorized or required by law to use a Social Security Number such as processing student loans, employment, tracking and reporting student retention and graduation rates, and other legal obligations.
Also, faculty and staff will also see increased identity protection with this transition. Social Security Numbers will be used only where specifically authorized or required by law. This means that the number on your HSU ID Card will be the number used on class rosters, bi-weekly timecards, etc.
