Community News is an email distribution list that was created to give Henderson employees a way to make announcements about events in the community like the opening of a new business, fund raising projects like Girl Scout cookies for sale, or items they want to sell or buy. This type of email should NOT be sent to all faculty, staff or “everyone at HSU”. The distibution list currently has approximately 250 members.
Photographs, pictures and images used in the e-mail should be resized or compressed. Please click here for quick and easy directions on how to resize or compress images.
If you would like to become a member of the Community News distribution list (or, if you would like to be removed from the list), simply send an e-mail to holbroj@hsu.edu.
We are a state entity and therefore use of this university “public service” should be limited when it pertains to political endorsements. A generic “get out the vote” email is OK, but we should not announce specific candidate’s events or endorse specific candidates or parties through services supported by a state agency.
