Abstract Submission Abstract submission is open for the 2008 AAS meeting. Abstracts must be submitted for both oral and poster presentations. Oral presentations are limited to 15 minutes (12 minute talk, 3 minutes for questions).
Posters are limited to 4 feet in height (3 feet in width). Flat tables will be available for poster display, but please make your own prior arrangements for their vertical viewing. Posters will be presented Friday evening.
Abstract submission and registration are online. Abstracts will be posted online ~1 week after they are received. Abstracts must be received by March 14 for oral presentations and for posters! Be sure to submit your registration form as well. Abstract and registration forms provided in this newsletter show the information that will be requested, but registration and submission of abstracts is online for this meeting at www.hsu.edu/content.aspx?id=38858.
In order to quickly post abstracts online, please submit your abstract, including title, authors and addresses, and the body of the abstract in traditional ‘camera-ready’ format (see www.hsu.edu.content.aspx?id-39850) to tumlison@hsu.edu. Online submission will allow us to sort and organize the program once all submissions are made, and the ‘camera ready’ submission will allow us to more quickly acknowledge receipt of your submission by posting it online. Further, formatting such as italics and line breaks are lost on the form, but email submission of the abstract in MS Word will let us retain formatting for development of the program.
Manuscripts for publication in the Journal, based on a presentation given at the meeting, are due the day of the meeting to the chair of your session. One of the authors must be an AAS member to publish in the Journal.
