In addition, 2 one semester-hour credit laboratory courses (PHY 3201 and PHY 4261) are required. These laboratory courses will be offered as corequisites with Mechanics (PHY 3083), Electromagnetic Fields & Optics (PHY 3173), or Quantum Mechanics (PHY 4273). Both semesters of University Physics (PHY 2234 and PHY 2244) and Digital Electronics (PHY 3434) include laboratory work.
A three semester-hour credit Problems in Physics (PHY 4313) capstone research project will also be required. Results of the research project will be presented locally or at an approved professional meeting.
Total Semester-Hour Credits 32
Minor in Physics Requirements
Fourteen hours of physics or engineering courses which must include at least one of the following: PHY 2053, PHY 3103, PHY 3083, or EGR 2253..
