Bibliography
The Henderson State University Department of Sociology and Human Services faculty generally accepts student papers using bibliography and reference citations using the style of the American Sociological Association. Check with your instructor for preferences and exceptions. This page is a general overview of citations for electronic resources.
American Sociological Association
The style of the American Sociological Association is used for articles to be published in the American Sociological Review. The following outline was developed by our department.
In-text references: (AuthorLastName(s), Year:Pages)
Example: (Smith, 1996:124-30)
Example: (Smith, Jones, Rogers, Hart, 1996:340-51) first time and (Smith, et.al., 1996:350-52) on subsequent references.
