Repeated Courses and Grade Forgiveness

Undergraduate students may take the same class multiple times. However, credit for the course will be granted only once unless the course is designated a repeatable course. For courses not designated as repeatable only the last grade and credit hours earned will be counted toward the students grade point average and progress toward degree completion (grade forgiveness). This policy will stand even if the most recent grade is lower than a previous grade. This policy is only applicable to courses completed at HSU. Grades earned at HSU will not replace grades earned at other institutions. Likewise, grades earned at HSU may not be replaced by grades completed at other institutions. A grade of “W”, NC, or AC will not replace a previous grade or credit hours for a course.
