Cover Letters

Your cover letter needs to stand out since it will possibly determine whether the employer looks at your resume or not. Cover letters usually accompany the resume even if you are sending your materials electronically. If sending by email, you can type the cover letter in the body of the email. You may also choose to attach it (or do both).  

Below are two different formats to consider.  One is the more traditional, three-paragraph letter. The other is a job requirements / skills match letter, sometimes called the two column or "T" letter.
