Bethany Wright Earns GSC Player of the Week Honors for 17^th Time

Henderson State senior libero Bethany Wright (Georgetown, Texas) was named the Gulf South Conference Defensive Player of the Week on Wednesday for the remarkable 17^th time in her four year career with the Lady Reddies.

Wright continues to rewrite the GSC defensive record books, and has now compiled 2,832 digs in her career, the most in the history of the conference, and the fourth most all-time in the history of the NCAA.

This week, she totaled 54 digs, averaging 7.71 per set. Wright had 36 digs in a 3-1 win against Southern Arkansas, her second 30 plus dig effort of the season. The senior has the most digs in the conference this season and ranks fourth in the NCAA in digs per set.

The Lady Reddies (14-15 overall, 7-4 GSC)  will play host to Arkansas Tech in the final home game of the season Thursday night, before traveling to Searcy, Ark. to compete in the conference tournament Nov. 13 and 14.
