Lady Reddie Volleyball Sweeps Alabama-Huntsville

Henderson State ended a three-match losing skid as the Lady Reddies beat Alabama-Huntsville, 25-20, 25-16, 25-20 in women’s volleyball action at the Duke Wells Center in Arkadelphia.

It took some time before the Lady Reddies to get things moving in the right direction as UAH vaulted out to a 17-13 lead in the first set, but Henderson State outscored the Lady Chargers 12 to 3 the rest of the set as Melissa Silva served out the final five straight points to aid in the come from behind set victory.

Henderson State had little troubles with the next two sets as the Lady Reddies compiled a .211 attack percentage in the match, while UAH hit .121.

Tatiana Kuhn led Henderson with 11 kills, while Robin Law had 9.

All-American candidate Bethany Wright compiled 18 digs to go along with three services aces while Dalia Serra had 18 set assists.

Henderson State, 12-13 on the season, returns to Gulf South Conference action on Tuesday when the Lady Reddies play host to Arkansas-Monticello at 7 p.m.
