ASBTDC at HSU
The HSU Small Business and Technology Development Center (SBTDC) is a public service unit of the School of Business, Henderson State University, in partnership with other Arkansas higher education institutions. HSU SBTDC staff are employees of their respective educational organizations. The HSU SBTDC is not an agency of the federal or state government.
The Mission of the Henderson State University Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center is to provide: quality consulting, training, research, and technology services.
Any for-profit small business located or intending to locate within our service area may receive assistance from the Henderson State University SBTDC. This center provides service to businesses in the following counties: Clark, Dallas, Garland, Grant, Hot Spring, Howard, Montgomery, Pike, Polk and Sevier.
*Effective July 1, 2009 Scott and Yell counties will be added to our service area. Scott and Yell counties were formerly served by the ASBTDC office at the University of Arkansas-Fort Smith.
The ASBTDC is not a funding source for small business in Arkansas; however, through our training, research, and consulting services we can help identify financial sources and strategies to obtain financing.
The rapid and vigorous growth of business in Arkansas creates new and exciting opportunities for persons considering or actually engaged in operating a small business in our area. The Henderson State University SBTDC serves the public in three areas:
- One-on-one consulting
- Seminars and Conferences
- Research
These services are provided to the small business community through a partnership among the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, the U.S. Small Business Administration, other Arkansas institutions of higher education, and additional strategic alliances.
The HSU SBTDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U. S. Small Business Administration through a partnership with the University of Arkansas at Little Rock and the Henderson State University School of Business.
