President’s Welcome:

I am very pleased that you have chosen to visit the webpage of Henderson State University.  Henderson is one of our state’s oldest universities and serves as the alma mater of many of our nation’s most successful men and women.  During my tenure as President, I have been privileged to recognize as distinguished alumni many graduates who have risen to the highest levels of success in law, medicine, business, education and many other professions.  Since 1890 Henderson has served Arkansas and the region as a great choice for undergraduate education.  For the last fifty years, it also has awarded hundreds of master’s degrees in education, business, and the liberal arts.  Our nationally accredited programs in education and business are among the best in the nation.

 I hope you will visit our campus soon.  It is truly one of the south’s most beautiful campuses … and becoming more beautiful each year.  It combines a traditional look with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories, thus it is both beautiful and extremely functional.  Further, a visit will introduce you to the reasons why Henderson has been known for over one hundred years as the “school with a heart.”  The warm and friendly campus environment is a reflection of our desire to put students first.   

We know how very important the choice of a university is to one’s future success.  At Henderson, we strive to provide our students with the tools they need to succeed … both professionally and as informed citizens.
