Dissolution of Student Organizations

Any time that the total membership of a student organization declines to the point that it cannot function normally (falls below eight (6) active members for three consecutive semesters); the organization may be required to dissolve.

In any instance wherein a student organization is adjudged guilty of a serious violation of University regulations, the person charged with the responsibility for student organizations may recommend to the Vice President for Student and External Affairs that the organization be dissolved.

When any student organization is dissolved, it must surrender its charter/constitution, by-laws, and all other official documents to the Division of Student and External Affairs.

On the dissolution of a local student organization and reconciliation of all accounts, the remaining assets, if any, are to be equally distributed to active members at the date of dissolution.
