Provost Informational – Associates of Health Science & Financial Aid

  • Provost informed U.A.C the Associates of Health Science degree will no longer be awarded until such time as a resolution can be established to address concerns raised by financial aid.
  • No timeline for a resolution has been established. It is hoped that all financial aid concerns will be addressed before newly proposed associates degrees are implemented.

U.A.C Discussion – Students Dropping Remedial Classes

  • U.A.C decided in consultation with the Provost that a larger discussion is needed regarding the policy on dropping remedial courses. Currently the practice does not correspond with the catalog policy.
  • Through December 4, 2015 students will be permitted to request from their instructor permission to drop a remedial course with either a “WP” or “WF.” The course drop will be granted at the instructor’s discretion. Instructors who allow the drop must email the Registrar cc’ing Pam Ligon with the following information:
    • Student Name
    • Student ID#
    • Course (Prefix, Number, Section & Title)
    • Desired Mark (“WP” or“WF”)
