Faculty Development Blackboard Workshops 2017

Faculty development training workshops are offered on a scheduled basis or as needed.  A reservation is needed to attend a workshop.

When Should I attend? It is recommended that you attend ASAP to make sure that you have time to become comfortable with the new system.

How do I attend? Please contact Jacob Mills, MSE by email (millsj@hsu.edu) to reserve a seat. Since some setup is involved for each session, you must RSVP.

Where do we meet? The response to your reservation will include the on campus location of the session.

Bb Learn intro - 2 hour session covering navigation, online content, communication, rosters, and more. This session must be taken before taking any of the other sessions.  This session must be completed to gain access to Bb Learn.

Assessments - 1 hour session covering in depth information about creating tests/quizzes.

Bb Gradebook - 1 hour session covering the basics of the Bb Learn Grade Center.

Bb Collaborate - 1 hour session covering how to add and start using HSU’s virtual classroom.

Course instructional design and customization - A personalized session where the professor and instructional designer meet to discuss best practices and take steps to customize the Bb Learn course(s) to achieve the professor’s visualized plans and goals.  The session content and length varies based on the goals and needs of the professor.  Contact Jacob Mills, MSE, Instructional Technology Designer at millsj@hsu.edu
