Field Experiences

A major goal of Teachers College, Henderson State University, is to provide students with professional classroom experiences before they begin their professional semester. As we value the knowledge, expertise, and leadership of the public school educators, we strive to give our students quality instruction and leadership, as well as, diverse and meaningful field experiences. For this reason, candidates are required to complete at least 45 hours of participation in and observation of classroom activities.

  • Enrollment in courses which require field placements
  • Completion and clearance of a one-time required Pre-Screening Background check prior to course-related public school field experiences

Application process
