Educator Preparation Admissions and Clinical Experiences

Teachers College believes that it is crucial that all program candidates be provided with structured, but varied, experiences in public schools to effectively prepare candidates for the teaching profession We strive to provide all candidates with opportunities to work in environments that respect and promote cultural diversity. Here, we will provide potential and admitted candidates to the Educator Preparation Program with information regarding admission requirements, public school placement criteria and information, and internship requisites.

The Office of Admissions and Clinical Experiences within the Teachers College facilitates candidate progression through the Educator Preparation Program from admission to graduation and licensure. The Office of Admission and Clinical Experiences coordinates all program practica, admissions, program design, retention, teacher intern administrative services and certification for the Educator Preparation Program candidates. As the principal resource for current program information, the Office provides advisement regarding program requirements to both candidates and faculty. The office also serves as liaison agent to the public schools in the region.
